Cora Wanninger Sark, 94, a life-long Janesville resident passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Cedar Crest Health Center. Cora was born in Janesville on November 13,1918, the daughter of John and Lydia (Mennicke) Zastoupil. She graduated from Janesville High School in 1936. She married Joseph Wanninger on June 4, 1942. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1981. She married Maurice “Bud” Sark on May 27, 2001. He preceded her in death April 1, 2007. Cora was formerly employed as a bookkeeper by Blain Supply Co. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Marge Ware of Janesville, Judie (Larry) Lovelace of Anaheim, CA, Jo Anne Wanninger of Madison, two step-children, Virginia (David) Burtness of Grey Summit, MO, Jerald (Marsha) Sark of Rhone, TX, three grandchildren, Linda (Mark) LeMahieu, Andrew Ware, Sarah (Jeff) Strahl, six great-grandchildren, Allison LeMahieu, Seth Ware, Cole Ware, Jenna Ware, Djuna Strahl, Morgan Strahl, several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren and one brother Robert Zastoupil. In addition to her husbands and her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Zastoupil, a sister, Marian Foltz and her son-in-law, William Ware.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Daniel Decker officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church or Agrace HospiceCare.  The family is being assisted by Henke-Clarson Funeral Home.
